Endodontist Jon-Brighton Russell, DMD, MDS
A Mississippi Delta native originally from Indianola, Dr. Jon-Brighton “J.B.” Russell is an endodontist who is committed to providing high-quality care to his patients.
Dr. Russell earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University and his D.M.D. from the University of Mississippi School Of Dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Russell completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. There he gained a greater knowledge of dentistry while collaborating with other medical professionals. Dr. Russell practiced general dentistry for two years before beginning his Endodontics residency.
Dr. Russell earned a Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Dental Science from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, specializing in root canal therapy. During residency, the faculty awarded Dr. Russell the John T. McSpadden Spirit of Service Award that recognizes the resident who demonstrates excellence in scholarly activity, altruism, and integrity. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the Mississippi Dental Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Russell enjoys hunting, farming, and attending Mississippi State sporting events. He and his wife Katherine reside in Jackson, Mississippi, with their two dogs, Remi and Kipper.
